Very quiet forum here, so I thought I'd draw attention to the forthcoming weekend's event, which presumably should be quite a busy day, especially if the weather holds out.
Can anyone tell me more about what's scheduled for the day?
Thanks

Yes in 2003/2004 we did a similar thing called The Loton Park Motor Sport Festival, both events were very successful in raising funds for Air Ambulance & Alberbury Church. Were hoping for a smilar success on Sunday.

For this sort of event I guess the weather has more impact than usual, so the forecast suggests it should be a busy day for good causes. I'll be joining the queue for a run up the hill.

I'm just a regular customer, not a competitor. When I say I'll be joining the queue, I mean on foot - to be a passenger.
Although I've only just joined, I check the forum quite often for info. It's certainly very quiet. Presumably all other HDLCC members are busy with heads under bonnets.

Midlands Today on BBC1 at lunchtime mentioned the 50 year anniversary of Loton Park (but not specifically the PITP) with some cars in action and an interview with Jim Gazey. Will probably be repeated at 1830 tonight.

A thoroughly enjoyable day from my point of view - a shady marshall's post 'till lunch then some drives up the hill! I think I needed some ballast to hold the back end down but will have a 'proper' race-car for 2011!
I told several of my neighbours in the Llanfyllin area about the Party in the Park and a couple come to have a look and were very impressed with the site itself with the new facilities and particularly impressed by everyone's friendliness - both officials & participants! They drive past the Park several times a month & have heard me talking of it but had never been in before!
If there's another similar event maybe more local advertising - esp on the Welsh side of the border??
One of our nephews & wife popped in for the first time & they too were very impressed with both the venue & the vehicles - he being a self-confessed petrol head!
A big congratulations to all involved - I hope your engines OK Dave - another Cossie on the hill next year!
See you all in a couple of weeks - Sue & I are off to the Track Day at Aintree next Saturday!

A big thankyou to all involved in making the "PiP" such a big success, catching us out by the number of people wanting to buy rides, particularly in Mike Tregonings` hard-worked Ultima, and Team Moran`s Porsches!. The Autotesters and Sporting Trials guys put on a superb show. A few lessons to be learned before we organise the next one, but when will that be? ?

The proceeds from the "PiP" will be posted in the "News"section when the treasurer has emerged from beneath the pile of tenners!

It was a superb day, everyone I spoke too had a great time,I was surprised at how busy my proton was as there were a lot exotic cars about. My 3yr old daughter was a bit worried about the patient in the air ambulance though. She said daddy I think he needs some oxygen. ;D

It was a great day out. Thank you to everyone involved with organising it and running it. I'd been really looking forward to it since I first heard of of the event so it was great that it was such a success. Some very nice cars there and hopefully the drivers all had a good time. I think a lot of them were in the cars all day and many seemed to be pushing quite a bit harder than I was expecting!
The autotest demo was a highlight. It's the first time I'd seen it in person and though I expected the skill and precision I wasn't quite expecting the speed that they a thrown around.
Thanks. Looking forward to the next one when ever that might be.
