What a day!!!! Thanks to all the organising team and to all the people who paid so that we could show off the hill and our cars.
I do like preaching the gospel " Got a car? Right then, there is a class for you to come and enjoy it!! "
Gordon.

I've just put a video of the autotest demo on youtube if anyone wants a look. It might give an idea of the number of people there. I've also recorded other clips during the day but they will take me longer to sort though.

Well done and congratulations to the team from the Filkin tribe too. It was a terrific day and thoroughly enjoyed by us all from the most junior in the ranks to the most senior! The variety of attractions mixed with the action on the hill, plus the trials cars (amazing - as YP says, they can literally go where you can't walk!) and high octane autotest demos at Triangle were all great. Is hard to better getting together with like-minded folk at a great place and putting your hand in your pocket for a good cause? Thanks to the various drivers who took our girls up especially Jamie K. - Alys won't look at Loton in the same light ever again! Here's to another 75 Years!

That video captures the mood of the day nicely. You must have run up the hill quickly to catch the Ultima at each corner.

The P in the P has be on several other sites. All responses have been sparklingly posative. What a great day from evey aspect, from goggled-eyed 8 year olds to goggle-eyed 88 year olds! Something for everyone, such a wide variety of activities and lots of opportunity to live a dream for a while. I managed a ride in one car only, but it was one of my dream cars with a dream driver. Roger Moran and that orange 911 tarmac rally car. It was sublime, informative and an absolute eye opener for me and my own 911. If only there was a time for the run. We managed a good attack up the hill with a clear track. An experience I will never forget. ;D I had the fortune of the shadiest spot in the Park next to the LeMans Bently, another fab car there. Talk about a popular car! The crowd looked very interested and there are several You Tube vids appearing now, inc a great long clip of the gob-smackin' Autotest Pilots at work. Having been involved in giving rides at the events Dave mentions in 2004, I know those drivers and cars worked very very hard all day. The money result will be good, the entertainment result will be good and the PR we have as a Club is beyond our dreams I think! Calm before the rush, set-up of the cool cars (I mean literally)

I second what 911hillclimber says. What a fantastic day. From a marshals point of view it was low key and laid back. Nice to be able to use a camera on post and get some descent shots. I was only able to get one run up the hill and that was with Roger in his suberb 911, BRILLIANT!!! Only one call all day, these American cars are no good on corners!

I echo what everyone else has said. I have been coming to Loton regularly since the early seventies, and competed for a few years, and my highlight of the day was the ride up the hill with Gordon (can't remember his surname, but he'll know who he is) which was incredible! I was once driven round Silverstone in an Aston Martin by Jackie Stewart, but the ride up Loton was a much more thrilling experience!
The great thing - apart from all the other comments - was that it was good to see so many youngsters - who of course are tomorrow's spectators, competitors, marshals and officials. Congratulations and many thanks to everyone involved in what was a brilliant day - even the fair organ added to the garden party atmosphere... Roll on the next one.

Hi guys, Many thanks to all involved in the P.i P. It was an unqualified success, and we will be able to announce the amount of funds raised early next week. Now that the forum has started to motor, please keep it going with your comments, (kind or otherwise!). The June Loton looks like being a cracker, with a maximum entry including over 80 single-seaters, and a cavalcade of some of the "oldies" on the Sunday. June newsletter will be dropping through your letterboxes next week with some superb photos from May Loton and P.i P and an amazing b&w image from the 60`s! Keep it on the black stuff!
