Hi all,
Lets have it then, all the good stuff from a damp championship meeting. I managed to drag my son overt for a couple of hours on saturday, and witnessed the fun after the shower before lunch. I'm sorry to say that i'm glad that i was on full childcare duty!!!
awaiting all the news,
Andy.

Hi Andy, You picked the best day, as Sunday was an absolute washout all day. However, a few stars emerged unscathed. Nobody told Steve Bailey it was wet, so he posted a 66 second run with his Mk.1 Escort, quicker than most of the Caterhams and a lot of single-seaters. Mike Manning was also stunning in the Puma, getting well into both Top Twelve run-offs, but it was Club President Roger Moran who showed his class with FTD, the class win and both Top 12`s, earning him the Midland Championship Man of the Meeting award.

Yes - it's the first time I've seen the inshore lifeboat lining up for a run at Loton Park! Water was still running out of my boots this morning!

Commiserations to Martin after his huge accident at Fallow - great to see him out marshalling next day, I think I would have been in the pub drowning my sorrows. Hope he gets it sorted and comes back out asap.

P.S. I secretly fitted an outboard motor to the Escort on Saturday night - hence the time
